Sclerotherapy is a minimally invasive procedure used to treat internal haemorrhoids. A chemical solution, called a sclerosant, is injected into the tissue around the haemorrhoid. This causes the blood vessels to shrink and the haemorrhoid to shrivel up and fall off.
